Meet April.
With over 11 years in digital marketing, my work has centred around helping businesses improve visibility, understand their customers and get better results from their marketing.
A big part of that comes from understanding the “why” behind performance. Audits, data and user behaviour help uncover what is underperforming, what is causing it and where the opportunities are. From there, I build clear strategies and roadmaps that give clients confidence in what to do next.
My main areas of focus include on-page SEO, technical SEO, user journey, CRO and Google Ads, but every strategy starts with the bigger picture. That means looking at the full customer journey, from discovery through to consideration and conversion, and mapping the key touchpoints and micro moments that shape how people search, explore and make decisions.
My degree also developed a strong interest in consumer behaviour. Buying decisions are rarely linear or purely rational. They are shaped by intent, context, emotion and perception, as well as how people see themselves and what they are trying to achieve. This is why my approach combines data with behaviour, focusing on where the real opportunity sits and which touchpoints will have the greatest impact across the full journey.
As Head of Marketing at Brace, I work closely with clients to understand their business, goals and challenges, building strong relationships where we can be open, proactive and focused on continual improvement.
Managing and supporting the marketing team is another part of the role I really enjoy. Collaboration, sharing ideas and helping people build their skills and confidence are all important to how I work.
Alongside client work, I’ve delivered SEO workshops and spoken at industry events, sharing practical insights that help both clients and wider audiences take action.
Professional development is also a big focus for me. In recent years, I completed a BA (Hons) Digital Marketing degree through the University of Gloucestershire, and I continue to complete all Google Ads certifications each year as part of the Google Partner programme. I’m also continuing to build my knowledge in areas such as GEO, AI SEO and the future of search, helping clients stay ahead of the competition.
